The flammability of the substance was tested according to Method A.10. Flammability (Solids) reported in the ordinary supplement no. 305 of the Official Gazette of 29/12/85 and subsequent changes and additions (and Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 of May 30th, 2008, Part A: Methods for the Determination of Physico-Chemical Properties).
The powder train in contact with the flame of the Bunsen melted after about 12 seconds, removing the gas burner after the prescribed two minutes, the presence of flame on the melted zone was observed. The flame was extinguished after 75 seconds. The melting is restricted to the area on which insisted the flame of the Bunsen. It is not observed flame propagation along the powder train.
Based on the result of the preliminary test, the test item is not to be considered as highly flammable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the result of the preliminary test according to the method A.10 reported in the Regulation EC n.440/2008 , the test item is not classified as flammable according to the CLP Regulation (EC n.1272/2008).
