Executive summary:

GUIDELINE

Kinematic viscosities at 40 and 100 °C were determined by ASTM D445 for the test item at the, UK

laboratory

. The laboratory is an ISO accredited lab.

METHOD

Two individual time measurements were obtained, and the average value (y) is reported in units of mm2/s (1 mm2/s = 1 cSt).

For lubrication additives this method is most appropriate to be run at 100°C, where the repeatability (r) and reproducibility (R) were determined to be 0.00192y and 0.00862y, respectively. R and r were not determined for data obtained at 40°C.

CONCLUSION

The viscosity of the substance is 18.16 cSt at 100 °C and 248.3 cSt at 40 °C.
