Based on the acute and chronic studies conducted on TNS, Daphnia magna was the most sensitive species. A guideline, GLP 21-day chronic D. magna reproduction study with measured test concentrations is available on TNS. The algae study with TNS provides another chronic endpoint in conjunction with 21-day Daphnia study. Results of TNS studies are consistent with the results from the guideline GLP studies with Zonyl that utilised measured test concentrations. The acute and chronic studies on TNS and the closely-related substance, Zonyl, adequately characterise the aquatic hazard of TNS.
