Description of key information

The substance is a dark blue powder. No melting for the substance was observed as the substance decomposed at 375.8 K. The substance was found to decompose at 375.8 K even before melting, hence the study to determine boiling point is considered scientifically not necessary. Density of the test substance was determined to be 1310 kilogram/cubic meter. Median of mass distribution (width) for the test substance was determined to be 98 μm. The vapour pressure of the substance is determined to be 0.00012 Pa at 25 °C (extrapolated) or 0.000061 Pa at 20 °C (extrapolated). The n-octanol/water partition coefficent of the test item at 25 °C was determined to be (log Pow) 0.99. The water solubility of the test substance at a temperature of 20 °C was determined to be 180 g/L. The surface tension of the test substance in double distilled water was determined to be 44.4 - 61.5 mN/m, while it was determined to be 39.7 - 50.2 mN/m in 0.1 M acetic acid. The test item was considered as not highly flammable. The substance is considered to be non-explosive. The study does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidisng properties.
