Guideline:
EPA OPPTS 830.7840 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:

Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
9.7 mg/L
Conc. based on:
other: peak area of the largest substance peak in the chromatogram
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 6.4 - <= 6.9
Details on results:

The concentration analysed after 24, 48 and 72 hours of stirring was 11.2 mg/L, 9.34 mg/L and 10.1 mg/L, resp.

The 24-hour measurement was higher than the 48- and 72- hour measurements (maximum difference of > 15%). The water solubility of the test substance was therefore calculated as the mean value of the 48- and 72-hour measurements (maximum difference of 8.2%).

No test substance was detected in the pretreated sample from the blank.
Conclusions:
The water solubility at 20°C of the substance PEMP product was determined to be 9.74 mg/L.

Executive summary:

The water solubility of the substance PEMP product was determined using the slow-stirring flask method in a GLP study according to EC A.6, OECD 105 and OPPTS 830.7840. Quantification was performed by UPLC-MS-MS using the area of the largest peak in the chromatogram. From the measurements obtained after 48 and 72 hours of stirring, the water solubility at 20°C was determined to be 9.74 mg/L. pH of the saturated water phase: 6.4 - 6.9.
