Parameter:
maximum burning rate
Result:
1.02 mm/s
Sample tested:
test mixture (not specified)
Parameter:
maximum burning rate
Result:
0.725 mm/s
Remarks on result:
other: Maxim burning rate obtained for 60% weight of the substance.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The maximum burning rate of the substance/cellulose mixture is at 60% substance: 0.725 mm/s. But the substance/kieselguhr mixture also shows a burning behaviour with a maximum burning rate of 0.980 mm/s at a 70% substance content. As kieselguhr is an inert material, the combustion of the subtance/cellulose mixture is not due to the oxidising properties of the substance but is caused by changed burning characteritics of the mixture.
