Conclusions:
The density of the test item reaction mass of 2,2'-oxybisbutane (DSBE), DIPE, SBA and 2-methylpropan-2-ol (TBA) as representative sample for "2-propanol and 2-butanol production, distn. residues" was calculated as 0.7515 ± 0.0004 g/cm3 at 20.0 ±0.2 °C, which is the mean of two values.
Executive summary:

Using the pycnometer method, a density of 0.7515 g/cm3 at 20.0 +/-0.2 °C was measured according to the test guideline OECD 109. This value is the mean of two independent determinations. Standard deviation was 0.0004 g/cm3, showing good correlation of the two determinations. The standard deviation of the two values is a little higher than the maximal error of the single determination, indicating that the error of the determination was a little higher than the calculated value. Correspondence of the values is very good and therefore the study is considered valid.

Description of key information

The density of reaction mass of 2,2'-oxybisbutane (DSBE), DIPE, SBA and 2-methylpropan-2-ol (TBA) as representative sample for "2-propanol and 2-butanol production, distn. residues" was determined according to OECD 109 resp. EU A.3. The relative density at 20 °C was found to be 0.7515.
