The measured concentration of test item in water didn't differ by more than 15% in the two last vessels.

Therefore, the test it considered as valid.

The test item water solubility is calculated with the nine valued determined in the main test (3 analyses by vessel).

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item is 0.272 g/l at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility was determined with the shake flask method according to recognised guidelines (EU Method A.6 and OECD 105).

Due to the test item nature (gaseous), the visual preliminary test was not feasible. Moreover, a specific high pressure cell was needed to perform the test. This apparatus doesn't allow a pH probe to be installed without inducing leak problems. Therefore the determination of the pH is impossible.

Three test item solutions have been prepared in three identical cells at 30°C. The cells have been continually shaking for one, two and three days respectively. After this first stage, the samples were equilibrated for 24 hours at 20°C with occasional shaking. Each sample was analysed three times.

The water solubility of the test item is 0.272 g/l at 20°C.

Description of key information

The test item water solubility was determined with a key study (validity one). This study was performed with the shake flask method according to recognised guidelines (EU Method A.6 and OECD 105).

Some adjustments from the guideline need to be done due to the physical state of the test item. They are not considered to affect the quality and the results of the test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
