Additional information

Acute studies on all three trophic levels are available. For fish a LC50 (neutralised, 96 h) was determined to be > 100 mg/L. For aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) an EC50 (probably not neutralised, 24h) of 2.2 mg/L was reported. This value is supported by further experimental data as well as valid QSAR models. For algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus), an ErC50 (growth rate, 72 h) of 5 mg/L was determined.

It can be concluded that 2 -ethylhexylamine is acutely toxic to aquatic organisms.
