Eye irritation test of 6-Amino-4-hydroxy-2-naphthalene-6-sulfonic acid was conducted in rabbit. 50 mg of test chemical was instilled into the conjunctival sac of 2 rabbits. One hour after application, slight reddening was observed, which cleared up completely after 3 days Hence, the substance 6-Amino-4-hydroxy-2-naphthalene-6-sulfonic acid was considered to be not irritating to rabbit eyes.
