Description of key information

The substance was found to be acutely toxic to Daphnia magna at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L in a static aquatic toxicity test performed for 48 hours.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute aquatic toxicity of the test item FAT 40849/A TE was tested in a valid GLP study in accordance with EU Method C.2 by exposing invertebrates (Daphnia magna) during 48 hours in a static test to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. The test concentration was confirmed by analysis by HPLC. Immobilisation of 50% of test animals was seen at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L and the EC50 value determined in the study hence was 100 mg/L.
