Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:

Type of method:

Key result
Water solubility:
249 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
8.6 - 8.7
Details on results:
The saturation equilibrium set in after 24 hours. The 48 h and 72 h results were used for the calculation (see Table 1).

Appearance of the sample preparations:
After equilibration, the preparations were opalescent emulsions. Centrifugation and filtration resulted in macroscopically clear solutions.

Conclusions:
The environmentally relevant solubility might be lower than the determined solubility since, although macroscopically clear solutions have been reported, the existence of microemulsions cannot be excluded.

Description of key information

249 mg/L at 20 °C, pH 8.6-8.7 (OECD 105 and EU A.6)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
249 mg/L
