The flame of the gas burner did ignite the test substance pile. The test substance glowed, burned with a blue yellow flame and turned into a grey-black residue. Grey smoke was observed. After removal of the ignition source, the flame extinguished immediately and no propagation of combustion was observed.

In a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with UN-MTC Section 33.3.1 (Test N.2) and EC.A13, the test substance has no pyrophoric properties.

EC.A10, No propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed.

Therefore in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 section 2.7.2.1, this substance should not be classified as flammable solids.

Flammability in contact with water:

EC A12, No evolution of a gas and/or spontaneous ignition of the test substance in contact with water was observed in Test 1, Test 2, Test 3 and Test 4.

Therefore, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 section 2.12.2.2, the substance is not classified as a substance which in contact with water emits flammable gases.

 

Pyrophoric solids:

EC.A13, the test item did not spontaneously ignite during dropping or within five minutes of settling.

Therefore, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 table 2.10.1, the substance should not be classified as pyrophoric solids.
