Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The key study was performed equivalent to OECD guideline 301C under GLP conditions. No degradation was observed with the test substance after 28 days (based on TOC removal), whereas the reference substance (aniline) showed up to 74 % degradation after 14 days. Therefore, it can be concluded that the test results are valid. In conclusion, a 28-day Modified MITI test showed that the substance is not readily biodegradable.

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

One study describing a ready biodegradability test was identified. This was a study of CERI (2004), which is an OECD 301 C study (Modified MITI test). The study concludes that the test substance is not biodegradable under test conditions. No biodegradation was observed. As the study is performed according to GLP, this study was rated K1 and assigned as key study.
