Short term aquatic toxicity data, predicted by reliable QSAR models, are available for both freshwater Daphnia and algae. The calculated L(E)C50 values for Jasmatone were:

- 48-hr LC50 (Daphnia), predicted by ECOSAR Neutral Organics SAR, 3.99 mg/L.

- 96-hr EC50 (green algae), predicted by ECOSAR Neutral Organics SAR, 5.29 mg/L.

In addition, an experimental determination of the aquatic toxicity of a closely-related "read-across" substance, Projasmon P (2-heptylcyclopentanone), was carried out in Daphnia magna. The 48-hr EC50 was 1.85 mg/L.
