The flammability of the test item was determined according to the European Commission Regulations (EC) No. 440/2008,
A.10. Flammability (solids) and UN Manual of test and criteria, rev.5,
N.1 Test method for readily combustible solids.
The test item could not be ignited with a flame.

Additional information

The test item could not be ignited with a flame. The test item smouldered for approximately 4 min in the preliminary burning distance without propagation.

Therefore the performance of the main test was not necessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.10.

The test item is not a readily combustible solid in the sense of UN Manual of Test and Criteria, Method N.1.

Due to these results the test item does not have to be classified as “readily combustible solid”, class 4.1 of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods / Manual of Tests and Criteria.

Due to these results the test item does not have to be classified as “flammable solid” according to chapter 2.7 of the GHS (CLP) regulations.
