The 28-day NOEC based on an early life stage test with the three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) was 10 mg/L diethylene triamine.
One chronic study for fish was available for diethylene triamine. This
study was well documented and met generally accepted scientific
principles, and thus, was considered acceptable for assessment. In this
study, eggs of the three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus)
were exposed to diethylene triamine in a semi-static system for a period
of 28 days until they reached juvenile status. The endpoints that were
measured in this study included mortality, development, hatching
success, and growth parameters. There were no effects of diethylene
triamine on any of the measured endpoints at the highest test
concentration of 10 mg/L. Thus, the NOEC was > 10 mg/L
