Description of key information

Acute harmful to fish
Oncorhynchus mykiss: LC50(96h) = 10.6 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

For various fish species short term toxicity tests are available, with LC50 (96h) values ranging from 10.6 mg/L to >100 mg/L. Due to the rapid phototransformation of Aniline, results of toxicity tests using flow through or semi-static conditions, and/or measured concentrations were considered as more reliable. The lowest LC50 (96h) was reported for Oncorhynchus mykiss. In a flow through test an LC50(96h) of 10.6 mg/L was determined (measured concentration, Abram and Sims 1982).
