Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

623 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
88 mg/L

Additional information

A number of algal toxicity studies on a single species are available, Five of them are considered sufficiently reliable to be useable to derive the EC50 key parameter for this end point. The other studies available are 7 or 8 days studies which are too long to permit exponential growth. It should be noted that data from these other studies are supportive of the key parameter. The key parameter is chosen based on biomass rather than growth rate as it is lower and therefore more conservative. The EC10 or LOEC is based on the highest of the two ECb0 values available from the two key studies that is still lower than the lowest LOEC value from the same studies. The LOEC is based on the lower of the two values from the two studies (based on the more conservative biomass end point.)
