Classification according to CLP


Based on the data above, Tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (CAS No. 64-02-8, EDTA-Na4) is not considered to be readily biodegradable. No acute aquatic toxicity was observed below 100 mg/L for fish, invertebrates and algae. Valid chronic data are available for all trophic levels showing no effect values below 1 mg/L. Therefore, Tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate does not need to be classified and labelled as acute or chronic aquatic hazard according to the 2nd ATP of the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP).
