Description of key information

There is evidence that chloroform is stable in organic solvents.

Additional information

Experimental data on the stability of chloroform in organic solvents are unavailable. Numerous sources mention its solubility in principle organic solvents such as alcohol, ether, benzene, etc. (Deshon 1978, Merck Index 1989, Australian Government 2005). There is no evidence that chloroform is unstable in organic solvents and in addition the stability of chloroform in organic solvents is considered not critical.
