Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

Based on the results presented below, Triethanol amineacetate is not considered to be a skin sensitiser. In addition, neither of the read-across substances (RA1 and RA2) were skin sensitisers, further supporting the read-across strategy employed in this dossier.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

This study was not conducted as it is not a data requirement according to REACH Regulation 1907/2006. Moreover, testing by inhalation route is not needed as exposure to humans via inhalation is unlikely to occur due to low vapour pressure of the liquid substance (0,116 Pa 20ºC).

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Conclusive studies in sensitization have been carried out for Triethanol amineacetate and read across substances RA2 and RA1

Justification for classification or non-classification

A sensitisation study was carried out on Triethanol amineacetate, and it was concluded that it is not a sensitiser. Therefore it is not classified as sensitising.
