Additional information

The kinematic viscosity at 20 °C of the 5% and 15% peracetic acid solutions was determined according to OECD guideline 114 and found to be to be 1.22 and 1.50 mm2 s-1, respectively (Mekelburger, 2007). The viscosity of pure peracetic acid was calculated by regression from a series of measurements of different peracetic concentrations tested according to OECD guideline 114 (Turunen, 1996). Based on a weight of evidence approach and due to the fact that the viscosity of the pure test item cannot be determined, the calculated viscosity of peracetic at 20 °C of 2.89 mPa s is used as key value.
