Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Auto flammability temperature: 407°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Four measured auto flammability temperatures are available. The two known to have been conducted according to internal or national standard methods are considered reliable, even though little further information about the studies is available. Two studies considered reliable gave values of 407°C and 443°C, while the studies where reliability could not be assigned gave values of 395°C and 460°C. Variations in the auto flammability temperature values may be casued by variations in purity of the test substance and in the method used. Therefore the key study is selected as the test substace has a high purity value (98%) and was executed to an appropriate guideline (ASTM E-659). It is also the lowest reliable value.
