Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

L-valine did not cause immobility (mortality) in a test according to OECD 202 up to the maximum test concentration of 10 g/l. EC100 (mobilty) was > 10 g/l. NOEC (mobility) was estimated to be < 10 g/l and NOEC (condition) was estimated to be 3.2 g/l.

Additional information

A limit test according to OECD 202 did not show any adverse effects to Daphnia magna at a test concentration of 1 g/L. A subsequent test according to OECD 202 with higher test concentrations showed that L-valine did not cause immobility (mortality) up to the maximum test concentration of 10 g/L.

NOEC (mobility) was estimated to be < 10 g/l and NOEC (condition) was estimated to be 3.2 g/l. EC50 was determined to be > 10 g/l.
