First-aid measures

General advice:

Immediately remove contaminated clothing. If danger of loss of consciousness, place patient in

recovery position and transport accordingly. Apply artificial respiration if necessary. First aid

personnel should pay attention to their own safety.

If inhaled:

Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention.

On skin contact:

Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Consult a skin specialist.

On contact with eyes:

Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open,

consult an eye specialist.

Note to physician:

Symptoms can appear later.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide (CO2). Foam. Dry powder.

Special protective equipment:

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical-protective clothing.

Further information:

Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations.

Cool endangered containers with water-spray.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Breathing protection required. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing.

Environmental precautions:

Discharge into the environment must be avoided. Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water.

Methods for cleaning up or taking up:

Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Practice care and caution to avoid skin contact and inhalation of vapours or mists if generated.

Storage: Store in a cool and shaded area. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
