Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Short term studies were carried out on nematods and the LC50 is > 2500 mg/kg soil.
The lowest EC10 for reproduction study (28 days) was obtained in Enchytraeus and is 181.1 mg/kg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for soil macroorganisms:
2 500 mg/kg soil dw
Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for soil macroorganisms:
181.1 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

2 short-term studies were performed on nematods. Mortality was evaluated after 48 h of exposure. Both studies gave the same results: the LC50 is above 2500 mg/kg soil.

Longer term (reproduction) studies are available on Enchytraeus and on earthworms. The duration was 28 days for all of them.

Enchytraeus seem to be more susceptible to quinoline than earthworms. The lowest EC10 is 181.1 mg/kg soil.
