Description of key information

Additional information

Due to the intrinsic substance properties and its potential applications, a distribution of the substance is predominantly relevant for the aquatic compartment. Therefore, terrestrial or atmospheric exposure can be neglected.

Abiotic degradation

The substance is hydrolytically instable. At pH values between 4 and 9 hydrolysis is observed. Generally, hydrolyses in alkaline solution is slower than in acids.

Biodegradation

The substance is readily biodegradable in aqueous systems. The substance’s biodegradability was also estimated by a calculation resulting in a conclusion to consider the organic part of the substance as readily biodegradable.

Bioaccumulation

The bioaccumulation potential of the substance is very low; a BCF of 3.16 L/kg was calculated.

Adsorption/Desorption

The log Koc of the test item was detected respectively calculated far below the range of the recommended guideline method. Therefore it was stated as < 1.5.

Henry Constant

The calculation of the Henry's Law constant shows results of 3.72 * 10-10Pa*m³/mole.
