EC number: 205-739-4
CAS number: 149-44-0
The particle size is not an intrinsic substance property, but depends on the grinding of the material after drying. The D50 of the powdery substance may vary between ca. 70 and 300 µm. No remarkable amounts are below 10 µm.
particle size distribution of the test item was determined in by two
the sedimentation (fixed pipette) method (OECD 110) the particle size
distribution shows a continuous distribution from approximately 12 µm,
(leaving a fraction of less than 10% below 10 µm) to approx. 70 µm.
the sieve tower method (DIN 66165) the testing of the substance results
in an average particle size (D50)
of 175 µm resp. 300 µm.
particle size of the substance predominantly varies with the grinding of
occurrence of alveolar particles can be neglected.
