Description of key information

Daphnia magna LC50 (48hr) >10000mg/l
Artemia salina TLm 924hr) >10000mg/l

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
10 000 mg/L

Marine water invertebrates

Marine water invertebrates
Effect concentration:

Additional information

A limited number of acute toxicity studies are available in invertebrates. These clearly show that the substance 2-(2-(2-ethoxyyethoxy)ethoxy)ethanol is practically non-toxic to daphnia and artemia. The LD50 was always in excess of the maximum tested dose.
