Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2010-08-30 to 2010-09-02
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: guidelines followed, GLP
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
GLP compliance:
yes
Test procedure:
burning time (test type not further specified)
Remarks:
or specified in description of method (migrated information)
Burning time:
ca. 415 s

4-Aminophenolwas inflammable within 2 min by the hot flame of a gas burner. After 4 min approximately the half of the substance was burned down. After 6 min 45 s the mixture burned down to the end of the cluster. The Flame went out after 9 min 55 s.

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The 4-Aminophenol cluster burned within 6 min 55 s. Therefore the test item is classified as not highly flammable according to the criteria of the test guideline.

Description of key information
