Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study is available investigating the short-term effects of 2,2'-[ethane-1,2-diylbis(oxy)]bisethyl (CAS 111-21-7) diacetate to aquatic invertebrates (Vryenhoef, 2012). The study was performed according to OECD 202 under GLP conditions with the water flea Daphnia magna. A preliminary range-finding study did not result in any immobilisation up to 100 mg/L. Thus, a definitive limit test with a concentration of 100 mg/L was performed. No immobilisation of Daphnia magna was observed after 48 h. Thus, an EC50 (48 h) > 100 mg/L was derived. Analytical determination of the test concentrations at 0 and 48 h showed measured concentrations were 93% and 86% of nominal, respectively. Thus, the EC50 is based on the nominal concentration.
