Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the test on toxicity to terrestrial plants (required in section 9.4.3) was waived, as a direct or indirect exposure of the soil is not expected. The test substance is not supposed to be directly applied to soil and an indirect exposure to soil via sewage sludge transfer is unlikely since the substance is ultimatively biodegradable. For a substance being considered as „readily biodegradable“, it can be assumed that it will be biodegraded within the STP process and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. No risk for soil organisms is expected due to lacking adsorptive properties of the substance. Therefore, no tests on terrestrial plants are provided.
