A preliminary screening test was conducted to determine whether or not the sample ignites and propagates combustion over 200 mm within 4 minutes, either by burning with a flame or by smouldering. Results of the preliminary screening test showed that DTPA-H5 melted/decomposed with some localised ignition which self extinguished after 4 minutes without propagation. It was concluded that the test substance is not classified as highly flammable in terms of its burning characteristics.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the results indicate above, no classification is needed for flammability.
