Additional information

Abiotic degradation of diethyleneglycol diformate (CAS 120570-77-6) is not a relevant pathway. The substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere in relevant amounts based on the vapour pressure of 14.18 Pa and the Henry’s Law Constant of < 1 Pa m³/mole. Nevertheless, if released into the air, it will be rapidly photodegraded (DT50 value < 24 h).Reliable QSAR data indicate that ethylene diformate will hydrolyse to ethylene glycol and formic acid with DT50 values of 1.24 d (pH7) and 2.98 h (pH8).
