Additional information

Based on the available data 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, di-C16-18-alkyl esters (CAS No. 90193-76-3) is considered to be not readily biodegradable (51.5 % biodegradation after 28 d) according to OECD criteria but to be inherently biodegradable. The substance is thus expected to be only moderately biodegraded by microorganisms in both the aquatic and terrestrial environments and persistency cannot be excluded. Further simulation tests investigating the biodegradation in water and sediment or soil according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2 - 9.2.1.4, are not available.
