Results and discussion

Relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Relative self-ignition temperature:
ca. 300 °C
Remarks on result:
other:
Remarks:
at atm. press. of ca.100.0 kPa

Any other information on results incl. tables

The study was performed under atmospheric pressure which was at March 12, 2008 ca. 100kPa. The exact value of the pressure was not recorded.

FAT 40840/A TE shows a relative self-ignition temperature at about 300 °C. Therefore, the test item FAT 40840/A TE is auto-flammable under the conditions of the test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
FAT 40840/A TE is auto-flammable under the conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

Applying a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, FAT 40840/A TE showed an exothermic reaction starting at about 295 °C. A maximum temperature of 544 °C was measured in the sample cube during the exothermic reaction. At the end of the measurement, the test item was carbonized and colored black.

FAT 40840/A TE shows a relative self-ignition temperature at about 300 °C. Therefore, the test item FAT 40840/A TE is auto-flammable under the conditions of the test.
