As the water solubility of test item is less than 1% w/v so a suspension was resulted.

After stirring the solid particles were allowed to settle for 5 minutes. The pH was measured from the supernatant of the suspension.

Conclusions:
The measured pH of 1% (w/v) Tryptamine (CAS No. 61-54-1) suspension was 11.07 at 24.7 °C.
