Specific details on test material used for the study:
As above; the assessment was conducted for the presence of the test substance in waste water from the plant outflow pipes.

Study design

Details on sampling:
All samples were taken from the outflow pipes from the treatment facility prior to emission to the foul sewer. It was not possible to sample prior to the treatment facility since the site drainage is hard piped through to the facility with no sampling point. Furthermore as it is a multipurpose facility then several waste streams come together as they enter the treatment facility so any data taken from that point would not be applicable. It is considered appropriate to assess the content post on-site treatment for the content of the required substance.

Monitoring data is presented for 376 days, 14 February 2017 - 28 February 2018, and forms part of the site sampling requirements in accordance with the sites environmental permit monitoring requirements.

Details on results:
Monitoring was conducted over approximately 1 year (376 days). Production runs are sporadic, so an average release value is included for the purposes of risk assessment.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:

To determine the substance content in the wastewater the test substance was extracted with toluene from the waste water samples. The monitoring was conducted in-house using a Gas Chromatogram with a 10 ppm standard. The limit of detection is 0,02 [mg/kg].

Production runs are sporadic, so an average release value is included for the purposes of risk assessment. This value was determined to be 0.0234 mg/l
