Additional information

The short-term toxicity of 1,4 -Butenediol to algae has been studied according to Guideline DIN 38412 under non-GLP conditions using Scenedesmus subspicatus (new name: Desmodesmus subspicatus). The 72 hour EC50 value determined during this test was 290mg/L, the 72 hour EC 10 value was 48 mg/L, and the 72 hour EC90 was 1550 mg/L (BASF AG 1989) and indicates a low degree of toxicity to Desmodesmus subspicatus.
