The study report describes a valid guideline study conducted under certificated GLP compliance. The relative density of test substance was determined as 0.970.
Executive summary:

The relative density of magnesium sulfonate target substance (CAS 231297-75-9) was determined using the pycnometer method in accordance to OECD Guideline 109 / EU Method A.3 (Fox, 2012). The pycnometer was calibrated with distilled water. All experiments were performed at 20 +/- 0.5 °C. In general, the density of a substance is the quotient of the mass (m) and the volume (V) of that substance at a specific temperature. The SI unit is kg/m³. The relative density (D20/4) is the ratio between the mass of a volume of the test substance, determined at 20 °C, and the mass of the same volume of water, determined at 4 °C (999.97 kg/m³). The relative density has no dimension. The determination was performed in duplicate, resulting in a value of 0.970 for the test substance.
