Additional information

There is one reliable study available regarding the toxic effect of N,N-bis(3 -aminopropyl)methylamine (CAS 105 -83 -9). The study was performed according to OECD 201 under GLP conditions. The test species was Desmodesmus subspicatus. The test concentrations were analytically verified. The measured concentrations were ±20% of the nominal values (97% to 111% mean recovery) with an exception of the lowest test concentration (1 mg/L, nominal), which had a recovery at test start of 200% and was below the LOQ at test end. Nevertheless the effect values are based on nominal concentrations since the lowest concentrations did not show any negative effects. The 72 -h effect values are as follows: NOErC = 3.2 mg/L, ErC10 = 12.6 mg/L, ErC50 62.6 mg/L (BASF SE, 2012; report no. 60E0435/11E098).

In conclusion , the substance is acutely harmful to algae.
