Three acute tests on the three trophic levels are available on the acetate form of the substance dissolved in acetic acid aqueous solution as to assess aquatic toxicity.

Two studies on analogue substance 1, used as supporitng studies, are also present for fish and invertebrates showing the same order of magnitude of toxicity which is then related to the cationic chromophore part of the dye and not to the acidic counter ion.

The most sensitive species (Dafnia) tested on the acetate form is used for the determination of the PNEC and for classification being EC50, 48h= 0.26 mg/l.
