Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a examination study a related test substance (read across) was examined in a respirometer for 28 days and found to be poorly eliminated from water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The objective of the study was to assess the ready biodegradability of a read across substance (Bis-2,4 -dimethylphenoxy-propan-1,3 -ol-2) by measurement the degradation rate in a respirometer for 28 days. The study is based on the OECD Guideline 301 and on EU method C-4 D. Since the degree of biodegradation reached <= 20% after an exposure period of 28 days the substance is considered as poorly eliminated from water.
