Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

A:10: The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the consolidated version of Council Directive 67/548/EEC Annex V, Method A.10 (Council Directive 92/69/EEC).

A.11: A test according to A.11 (flammability; gases) is not considered to be required, since the substance Naringin DHC is a solid substance which decomposes under melting at approx. 160°C, and therefore not a gas at room temperature.

A.12: A test according to EC method A.12 (flammability; contact with water) is not considered to be required, because Naringin DHC does not contain groups that might lead to a reaction with water or damp air, leading to the development of dangerous amounts of gas or gases which may be highly flammable. Furthermore, experience in practical handling of the substance shows that it does not react with water.

A.13: A test according to EC method A.13 (pyrophoric properties of solids and liquids) is not considered to be required, since the substance Naringin DHC is stable at ambient temperature. The substance does not contain any chemical group that might lead to spontaneous ignition a short time after coming in contact with air at room temperature (approx. 20°C). Furthermore, experience in handling shows that the substance does not ignite in contact with air.
