Method

Ethical approval:
not applicable
Details on study design:
During Turn Around activities at the DAB-fabriek the installation is opened up for maintenance activities.
During these maintenance activities potential exposure to1,4-di aminobutane (DAB) has been measured (local, stationary measurements in the air).
Exposure assessment:
measured

Results and discussion

Results:
All but one measurement were below the analytical detection level (0.01-0.03 mg/m3).
One measurement =0.03 mg/m3

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
All but one measurement were below the analytical detection level (0.01-0.03 mg/m3).
One measurement =0.03 mg/m3
These concentrations measured in areas where people work, are fare below the DNEL (7 mg/m3).
Executive summary:

During a turn around (maintenace activities) at the DAB plant, stationary measurements in air were performed.

All but one measurement were below the analytical detection level (0.01-0.03 mg/m3).

One measurement =0.03 mg/m3

These concentrations measured in areas where people work, are fare below the DNEL (7 mg/m3).
