Based on its physical chemical properties, it is not deemed necessary to classify the reaction mass of tert-butylphenyl diphenyl phosphate and di-tert-butylphenyl phenyl phosphate as hazardous for physical-chemical hazards according to:

- the criteria of Directive 67/548/EEC

- the criteria of GHS/CLP regulation 1272/2008/EC.

The substance is a clear liquid with a melting point of -21°C, a boiling point > 400°C. The density of the substance is 1.176 g/ml at 25°C. The vapour pressure of the substance is 0.00108 Pa at 20°C. The partitioning coefficient octanol-water (Log Kow) of the substance ranges from 3.84 to > 6.5 over the different consistuents and is 5.61 for the constituent present in the highest concentration (t-butylphenyl diphenyl phosphate) at 25°C. The water solubility of the substance is on average 117 microg/l at room temperature. The surface tension of the substance is 40.6 mN/m at 22.3°C and finally the reported viscosity of the substance is 63.6 cP at 25°C.
