Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: sediment simulation testing
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable
Justification for type of information:
Trimethylolpropane tripelargonate is readily biodegradable other than highly insoluble in water, then according to the column 2 of the REACH Annex IX, the study is not required (other information available)
Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water

Description of key information

According to Column 2 of Annex IX to the REACH Regulation the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. TMP Pelargonate is readily biodegradable (See section 5.2.1 of IUCLID for additional details).

In addition TMP Pelargonate is highly insoluble in water.
