First-aid measures

In case of inhalation: Remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.

After skin contact: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. In case of skin irritation, seek medical treatment.

After eye contact: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart. Subsequently consult an ophthalmologist.

In case of ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and drink large quantities of water. Do not induce vomiting. Immediately get medical attention. Keep at rest.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, estinguishing powder, foam, CO2 or other suitable extinguishing media. The substance is not flammable.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water jet.

Special protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical resistant suit.

Additional information: Use water spray/stream to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers. Avoid exposure to fumes and vapors from the heating or combustion of the product.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid contact with skin, eye and clothing. Wear security glasses, PVC gloves and boots. If the spill occurs in a closed or poorly ventilated area, wear filter respirator for organic vapors.

Environmental precautions: Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Soak up inert absorbent. Collect in closed containers for disposal. Wash with generous amount of water.

Handling and storage

Handle the substance under strictly controlled conditions according to Article 18(4) of REACH Regulation. Rigorous containment should be achieved.

Handling: Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. Wear respiratory protection when in the presence of vapour. Use explosion-proof mechanical systems for transferring the product.

Storage: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Protect from sunlight. Keep away from heat and ignition sources. Keep only in the original container away from incompatible materials. Recommended storage temperature: max. 40 ºC, min. -5 ºC.

Effectiveness: The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 18(4).

Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.

Respiratory protection: In case of inhalation, wear full face mask with organic vapor specific cartridge.

Hand protection: PVC gloves.

Eye protection: Security glasses.

Skin protection: Splashproof equipment.

General protection and hygiene measures: When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Provide adequate ventilation. Safety showers and eyewash fountains.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: The substance is stable under normal environmental conditions and foreseeable conditions of temperature and pressure during the storage and handling.

Conditions to avoid: Temperatures above 40 ° C and below -5 ° C

Incompatible materials: Oxidizers. Strong acids and bases

Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition with formation of: cyanides, sulfides, carbon oxides, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides and thiocyanic acid.

Disposal considerations

Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment.

Waste disposal according to official state regulations.
