Details:

 

The auto-ignition temperature was measured in a series of tests; one preliminary test and three further test series were performed. For each test series the lowest temperature at which auto-ignition occurred was noted. The results are summarised in the following table:

The atmospheric pressure range at which the measurements were taken was 966.2 to 971.4 hPa.

 

Remarks

According to DIN EN 14522 the lowest value of all test series (228°C) was reduced by the deviation value based on the precision of the method (rel. 1.5% = 3.4°C). The resulting value was rounded to the next integral number (225°C).

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature of 225°C at ca. 970 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. It was not conducted according to GLP.
